How To Prevent Acne Scarring
How To Prevent Acne Scarring
Scarring from acne is one of the most severe effects that can leave behind devastating emotional effects on the sufferer. Scarring from acne can occur in even the most mild cases of acne. Would you like to know how to treat the scarring acne? Would you like to know how to prevent the scars from occurring? Would you like to know how to prevent acne altogether?
You are in luck, the good news is that there are many things that you can do to treat the scarring and even prevent it from occurring altogether. To begin with, the number one way to prevent scarring from your acne is to stop popping the zits when they occur. The second method is to properly cleanse your face. Now it is important to note, cleansing your face may simply not be enough for some severe acne sufferers. In some cases acne is caused by internal problems within the body. Cleansing alone cannot stop acne alone.
Unfortunately for those suffering from severe acne scarring is usually inevitable. The reason for this is simple. The longer the acne stays on the skin the higher the likely hood of damage to it. Particularly with cystic acne. In the case of cystic acne nodules or cysts form and stay on the skin for weeks at a time and tend to leave behind noticeable scars.
Scarring acne will differ upon the type of acne formed. Yes, it is true, the type of scars that form are partially dependant on the type of acne suffered. Some common forms of acne scars are:
-Ice pick
-Boxcar
-Hypertrophic
-Rolling
Scarring from acne is a very serious matter and getting rid of them can be even more serious. Depending on the severity of the scarring will determine the effectiveness of certain treatments. It is important to note that some scars will not be able to be removed.

Getting Rid of Scarring Acne
Getting Rid of Scarring Acne
Every person at some time in their life has had an experience with acne. Depending on how severe and at what point in your life it may have caused low self esteem. Some severe cases of acne may have even caused scarring acne areas. Do you want to know how to prevent this from happening to you?
Unfortunately for some, the scarring acne and dark spots left behind remind us of the embarrassing time in our lives. These scarring acne marks are a result of tissue that has been damaged. Tissue, once damaged reacts by repairing itself to protect it from infection. The body will naturally send collagen to the area. In some cases the body will produce too much collagen. This over production of collagen results in fibrous mass with irregular shapes (scarring).
Scarring acne comes in many different shapes. Some of the most common shapes are:
-Depressed scars
-Atrophic macules
-Soft scars
-Ice pick scars
Scars tend to be visible right away during the healing process. For this reason, it is advised to treat the scarring acne before it can form into a problem.
It is recommended to treat the scars immediately for best results. Consult a dermatologist on the best methods for your skin type. There are many treatments that can help your acne scars to diminish. Some treatments include collagen injections, laser treatment, radiotherapy, dermabrasion and chemical peels.
It is important to note that some scars will remain visible even after undergoing treatments. The most popular form of treatments are dermabrasion and laser treatments. There are different types of lasers that are used. Please consult your physician prior to undergoing any treatment.
For fast removals of scarring acne, procedures can be extremely effective. Remember to keep in mind that treatments can be costly. Treatments can also have future implications that can be painful. Remember to avoid scarring acne altogether you should always keep your face clean, eat a well balanced diet and drink water.

Scarring Acne & Botox
Scarring Acne and Botox
Who has suffered from scarring acne? Have you thought about how you might be able to get rid of the acne scars? Have you thought about Botox? Who knows, Botox and acne scars may go hand in hand. Botox has been known to effectively work against wrinkles, hemorrhoids, migraines and now it may treat scarring acne.
Studies have been released that have found Botox, helped in healing facial wounds with minimal scarring. The study involved 31 patients who had suffered wounds to their face. Each patient received an injection of Botox or saline. This injection occurred within 24 hours of the wound closing.
The results of the injections where rated by two unbiased surgeons who rated the scaring and healing. It was found that the patients who received the Botox scored 8.9 overuses 7.1 for the patients who received saline for the treatment of their scars.
It is believed that this treatment is effective because the Botox temporarily weakens the surrounding muscles. This lessons the pull on the wound during the healing process in the first 2-4 months, thus reducing the scarring effect in patients.
Based on these findings it is believed that Botox should be used in conjunction with other methods in treating scarring from acne. The acne scars can be corrected.
There however is a number of factors that will affect the outcome of the scarring acne results. These factors are the size and the depth of the acne or pitted acne scars.
Although with Botox the relaxed facial muscle can reduce the appearance of the depth of the scar. The reduced collagen will still leave the evidence of the scar. If you do suffer from this and still would like some additional help, a physician can inject cosmetic fillers into the acne scars to give it a flush look with the rest of the skin.
The only issue with treating scarring acne with Botox is, that the acne scars may reappear when the Botox injections have worn off.
Remember to consult a physician before undergoing any acne scar removal treatment.

Managing Acne
Managing Acne
Do you suffer from acne? Do you know someone who suffers from acne? Does your acne bother you? Do you know how to manage the acne? Do not worry if you don't. Almost every person has suffered from acne at some point in their lives.
Acne is a disorder that involves the sebaceous glands. It tends to affect the face, neck and back and chest. The main cause of the acne is when these glands become clogged with dirt, skin, oil and other containments. These clogs cause the pimples to form.
The exact cause of acne is not entirely known. However there are factors that we know contribute to the formation of acne. Some of these factors include heredity, oily skin, and androgens. Other factors include allergies, stress, drugs, nutritional deficiencies, liver dysfunction, cosmetics and monthly menstrual cycle.
In short, your skins main function is to eliminate some of the body's toxic waste through sweating. When your body has more toxins than can be flushed out by your internal organs your skin steps in to carry the slack. When these toxins escape through the skin they break down the health of the skin.
There are a number of methods to help control acne, not all methods will produce the same results for everyone. Each person's body is unique and will react differently to certain types of treatments.
The following is a list of methods used to treat acne.
- Distilled vinegar applied to affected areas
- Lemon or any citric fruit used to exfoliate the skin.
- Increase water consumption
- Well balanced diet
- Multi vitamins
- Herbal combinations such as Natures Sunshine's Ayurvedic Skin Detox and BP-X
- Large amounts of vitamin A
- Zinc
All methods should be used in conjunction with doctor's advice.

Acne and clear skin
Acne and Clear Skin
There are a number of people who need more than a prescribed skin cream to get rid of their acne. Are you one of those people? Do you wish you could find the answer to your acne problems? Do you wish you could just have the clear skin you have always dreamed of? You are not alone...
Acne is a condition that occurs from within your body. Unfortunately this condition manifest itself on the exterior of your skin. Because of this you need to attach the acne from both the inside and the outside of your body.
For those who do not suffer from severe acne you may be able to get away with a good cream and only need to follow a few of the following steps to get over your outbreaks.
Those individuals who suffer from severe acne need to follow all of the steps. Acne is an excessive toxin condition within the body. The internal organs are unable to eliminate the excess toxins, so they move into the blood and are excreted through the skin.
The following are areas in which you need to consider:
1. Keep your face clean
2. Use a dermatologist recommended skin cream
3. Make changes to your diet
4. Get sun, air and plenty of water to drink
5. Take vitamins particularly zinc
6. Take herbal mixtures
If you use cosmetics, you need to stop using products that contain petroleum. These types of cosmetics will irritate the skin and cause outbreaks. The cosmetics clog the pores and form acne. Find a water base make up, not an oil base.
When cleaning your face do not use commercial grade soaps. These products are filled with chemicals that will irritate your skin and make your condition worse. Also, excessive washing can also be bad. This will dry out the skin and remove the natural protective oil from your skin.
Remember, whatever you put on your skin will move into the bloodstream.
